Job Description

The EUC Solutions Architect drives opportunities from a targeted technical perspective and is critical to the success of the organization.  EUC Solutions Architects will have a broad foundation in our core competencies with a complimentary vertical specialty in Entisys360 core practice areas. Additionally, the EUC Solutions Architect provides technical leadership alongside with the Practice Vice President to the entire practice team through the co-development of new product offerings and project methodologies. The EUC Solutions Architect provides professional mentoring and career development strategies to the team members including time and task management skills.

A EUC Solutions Architect will deliver presentations that expertly explain our messaging and offerings to all members of our client’s staff; from CIOs to administrators.  The EUC Solutions Architect is a specialist that will be used strategically to position specific solutions and provide our clients with a deep understanding of the product feature set. EUC Solutions Architects will assume technical ownership of large complex projects that require participation from multiple subject matter experts from various areas of technical specialization and facilitate communications and technical understanding of the project between project management, technical team members and the client.

The EUC Solutions Architect is a senior technical resource and will have expectations of leadership, mentoring, and assisting in identifying technical trends. The EUC Solutions Architect is a split role with most time dedicated to presales activities, and some time allocated to architectural oversight on services engagements and overall mentorship of the services team.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of experience working in virtualization and EUC related fields as an engineer or architect.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a EUC Solutions Architect or Presales role
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to gauge the audience and speak at appropriate levels
    • The ability to put complex concepts in a clear and concise form
  • Delivery of presentations to both small and large groups
  • Strong understanding of the Entisys360 core competencies and how they fit in the Enterprise and SMB markets
  • Ability to understand, define, and translate crucial business requirements and objectives into technology solutions
  • Acute understanding of how business structure and processes impact project and solution scope and architecture
  • Mentoring, training and technical guidance to Entisys360 sales and services team members
  • Technical ownership of projects to ensure aligned execution of ‘vision’
  • Travel throughout the Greater Bay or Sacramento areas (for Northern California team members) and the Greater Southern California area (for Southern California team members) on a daily basis
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to set priorities and meet obligations in a timely manner

Critical Success Factors

  • Pre-Sales Engagements; lead technical discussions with the customer
  • Creation of Statements of Work
  • Review Statements of Work from a technical perspective
  • Following our methodologies with well-defined deliverables in the SOWs
  • Expand opportunities with every customer
  • Consistent alignment with sales through attendance at internal and partner sales meetings and conferences
  • Ownership of the technical sales cycle
  • Identifying and creating new technology opportunities
  • Ownership of projects from a technical oversight position
  • Assist project engineers and consultants with technical escalation and design questions
  • Work with Project Manager to ensure efficient and consistent project delivery
  • Work with the team and the Practice VPs to create new methodologies, standards and deliverables
  • Assist with and in some cases lead technical sales training meetings to keep the team abreast of the latest technology offerings.
  • Development of presentations and other presales tools

Key Experience

  • Experience with the architecture/design of 5+ Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop or VMware Horizon environments
  • Experience with the architecture/design of 2+ Citrix Workspace or VMware Workspace ONE (or AirWatch) environments
  • Experience with the architecture/design of a Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop or VMware Horizon environment with 5,000+ concurrent users
  • Experience with the architecture/design of a Citrix Workspace or VMware Workspace ONE (or AirWatch) environment with 1,000+ concurrent users
  • Understanding of key advanced/multisite/multizone deployment models for Citrix Workspace and VMware Workspace ONE
  • Experience with the architecture/design of NetScaler load balancing and gateway access, including GSLB
